Shamy Labs
Shamy Labs is a personal laboratory for artificial intelligence, applications and new ways of working.
It explores ideas rooted in practical needs: learning Thai, creating everyday tools, imagining a personal AI interface and maintaining continuity across projects. The lab brings together applications and the methods that make them useful: experimentation, verification, knowledge management and portability.
The lab’s aims
Building tools its creator wants to use, understanding what they can actually do and keeping the freedom to develop them further.
The lab gives its creator a way to learn with AI, understand the important choices and stay in control of the projects. Connections between different fields are part of that exploration too.
There is room for the pleasure of creating. There is also room for contribution: some of what is learned may become reusable components, tools for other people or, eventually, products.
How the lab moves forward
The lab aims to deliver complete, coherent applications that can be used from start to finish. Their interfaces centre on useful actions and concise copy. Quality is demonstrated by real functionality: advertised capabilities are verified, and prerequisites appear when they are useful.
Each project starts with a practical need and advances through real use cases. Its creator tries a complete journey and gives direction; verified results guide the next step. Rollout progresses as those uses are validated.
Short collaboration updates make results, limits, blockers and upcoming decisions clear. They distinguish what is prepared, tested, published and actually activated. The approach favours data under its owner’s control, preserved originals and useful copies. It calls for verified durable storage so that data and learning remain recoverable, within each project’s permissions.
Areas of exploration
- Applications for everyday learning and action
- A personal interface with artificial intelligence
- Methods for maintaining continuity across projects and conversations
- Experiments designed to support useful, documented comparisons
- Portable infrastructure, with a future role for local systems
- Tools that could help other people and organizations
Shamy Labs evolves with its uses, ideas and the results of its experiments.
